Wagert truck mounted platform

Strong in Eastern Bavaria

Mission reports from our Obertraubling branch

Many buildings in Regensburg's old town, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are regularly maintained with the help of our working platforms. But it is not only in Regensburg that our many years of know-how are called upon: Wagert is also your contact for professional access technology throughout the Upper Palatinate, Lower Bavaria, Upper Bavaria and even in neighbouring countries. See for yourself - we have already found the right solution for many demanding requirements:

Flagpole repair at Thurn and Taxis Castle, Regensburg:

Device used: L 530 truck mounted platform
Deployment: May 2015

Traditionally, the flag is hoisted on the roofs of St. Emmeram Castle while Princess Mariae Gloria Princess of Thurn and Taxis is staying in Regensburg. Due to a broken winch, the flag could no longer be hoisted and so repair work had to be carried out on the flagpole in May 2015. Wagert was called in to help: the L 530 truck-mounted work platform with a working height of 53 m was safely set up in the courtyard, the damage could be repaired and the flag could once again fly for the people of Regensburg.

Expertise at St. Peter's Cathedral, Regensburg:

Equipment used: L 530 truck-mounted work platform, L 700 truck-mounted work platform
Deployment: Annual (e.g. 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015).

The weather does not stop at the centuries-old building in the heart of the city. The maintenance and regular inspection of the Gothic cathedral is unavoidable. For the annual inspection of the cathedral towers as well as the sides of the façade, Wagert cherry pickers have been used time and again in recent years. With the surveyor in the basket, our experienced and trained specialists carefully manoeuvred the arm of the working platform, which was up to 70 m high, many times around all corners of the structure so that every angle could be measured and assessed. A catalogue of repair measures was then drawn up. In the summer of 2015, a protective scaffolding was erected around one of the two towers to protect pedestrians from loose fragments. From 2016, both cathedral towers will be completely scaffolded and renovated.

Expert opinion in the Minorite Church, Regensburg:

Device used: KT 225 chain telescopic work platform
Deployment: February 2015

The former Minorite monastery of St. Salvator is now home to the Regensburg Historical Museum. In February of this year, some of the splendidly decorated church windows had to be checked for damage. This operation required special technology: sensitive church floors, narrow accesses and even steps were factors that had to be taken into account. The choice fell on the KT 225 GT chain telescopic work platform, which enables such operations thanks to its low dead weight, its special rubber track and its high flexibility. The floor was covered with slabs to protect the sandstone when driving over it. By means of squared timbers and further plates, the steps could also be made passable for the device.
