Your question is not listed? Do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We are available for you during our business hours by telephone on 0921 789920 or by e-mail at info@wagert.de.

Do I need special training to operate heavy telescopic boom lifts?

You do not need any special training to operate heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts, as the operator is legally responsible for the use and operation of the heavy-duty telescopic boom lift. You will receive instruction in the operation of the equipment from us before commissioning or when you collect the heavy chain telescopic work platform you have hired. However, we recommend that you attend an appropriate IPAF training course at our training centre to ensure the safe use of the heavy-duty telescopic tracked platform.

Can I transport loads in the work basket of a heavy telescopic chain platform?

No. The workman basket of the heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts is only used to lift you and your tools to a height. Smaller materials that you can easily hold in your hands can of course be taken into the workman basket. For larger loads, such as sofas, safes, etc., we recommend a telescopic forklift.

Do I have to clean the heavy chain telescopic platform before returning it?

Cleaning is included in the hire price for normal use of the heavy-duty telescopic boom lift. You should remove coarse soiling that requires intensive cleaning, such as paint, concrete, etc., yourself before returning the platform. Alternatively, the cleaning costs for stubborn dirt will be charged separately. It is best to enquire about your individual application in advance at one of our hire stations or by telephone on +49 921 789920.

Do I have to refuel the heavy chain telescopic platform before returning it?

In principle, no. However, please note that diesel costs are not included in the hire price. You will receive a fully fuelled heavy-duty telescopic boom lift from us. You are free to return it with a full tank or use our refuelling service. The costs for refuelling will be invoiced separately. Please note that it must always be ensured that the remaining tank is sufficient for loading.

Do I have to collect the rented heavy-duty telescopic tracked work platform?

No. Our heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts are not road-legal, which is why they may not be moved on public roads. Our in-house fleet of low-loaders will deliver your hired heavy-duty telescopic tracked work platform to the desired location on the desired date and will also collect it again at the end of the hire period. If you have your own transport facilities, you are welcome to collect your hired heavy-duty telescopic tracked platform from one of our Wagert hire stations.

Is there a minimum hire period for heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts?

No. You are flexible when it comes to the hire period for our trailer-mounted platforms. Whether 1 day or 100 days. There is only a minimum hire period for assignments with booked operating personnel. Please note that the applicable labour laws and driving and rest periods must be observed. We will be happy to advise you by telephone on +49 921 789920.

Where can I hire Wagert heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts?

Our network of hire stations stretches from the Upper Palatinate to Franconia and Thuringia all the way to Saxony. You can find all our hire stations here. Depending on the enquiry and type of job, we also hire out our work platforms, lifts, forklifts and other equipment nationwide. Please contact us for larger orders. You can reach us by telephone on +49 921 789920.

Can I book operators for the heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts?

Conditionally, provided that the rented heavy-duty telescopic chain platform allows it. If you are unsure of how to operate the equipment, or if you do not have the necessary training to use it safely on your construction site, you can book expert operating personnel from us for individual heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts. However, this service is subject to a minimum hire period. We will be happy to advise you in advance by telephone on +49 921 789920.

Are the safety belts recommended for using the heavy-duty telescopic chain platform included in the hire price?

No. All our heavy-duty telescopic boom lifts are delivered to you without safety harnesses. However, PPE kits (PPE = personal protective equipment) can be purchased from us. For safety and hygiene reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to hire safety equipment.

Heavy-duty tracked telescopic handlers - the tracked work platform for rough terrain

There is hardly any terrain that this work platform cannot master: tracked telescopic boom lifts are specialised work platforms for difficult conditions. Whether gravel, mud, sloping meadows or bumpy forest floors – thanks to the crawler chassis with chain drive, these special telescopic platforms are predestined for rough terrain. The compact design and extendable telescopic arm also ensure that even narrow construction sites can be easily reached. And there is another advantage that makes this crawler platform the ideal choice, especially in confined spaces: due to their design and wide steel tracks, crawler platforms do not require any additional hydraulic support. This saves space without having to sacrifice a secure footing and working heights of up to 23 metres.

This makes these work platforms ideal for use

  • on rough terrain
  • on construction sites with slight gradients or steps
  • in confined working spaces
  • over obstacles and obstructions

What is a tracked work platform?

Tracked telescopic boom lifts, also known as crawler work platforms or tracked work platforms, are specialised work platforms. These platforms are characterised by a crawler chassis, which makes these machines extremely strong, all-terrain and efficient. In addition, the large support surface of the steel tracks ensures that the weight of the machine is distributed over a wide area. This protects the ground, but also ensures a very stable footing. For this reason, our crawlers do not require any additional support – even if you make full use of the maximum working height of 23 metres and the horizontal reach of 18 metres.

Crawler platform hire – your advantages

  • Extremely all-terrain
  • Stable without support
  • Easy to operate
  • Up to 23 metres working height
  • Lateral reach of up to 18 metres
  • High-torque diesel engine

For which locations and work are tracked platforms suitable?

Crawler platforms can be used for a wide range of applications. However, there are some specific locations for which the platforms are the ideal height access technology. The reason: thanks to the robust crawler tracks, the powerful diesel drive and the telescopic arm, crawler platforms are the first choice for work sites off the beaten track, including

  • Parks
  • Forests and forest tracks
  • Meadows and fields
  • Cemeteries
  • Gravelled areas
  • Muddy building sites
  • Areas on slopes
  • Areas with hilly ground

What kind of work are tracked access platforms suitable for? Primarily for work at height and over obstacles on uneven ground. Our specialised platforms are often used for work on overhead masts and transmitters, in gardening and landscaping and in forestry, for painting and renovation work on monuments, towers and castles in outdoor areas or for other applications on construction sites that are difficult to access.

Are there tracked platforms for indoor use?

Our heavy-duty tracked aerial work platforms are designed for outdoor use, as they are not suitable for indoor use due to their diesel drive.

Our tip: Are you looking for a work platform with a tracked chassis and telescope that is suitable for indoor use? Then take a look at our large selection of self-propelled tracked telescopic boom lifts with electric drive.

Crawler work platforms for hire: Which tracked telescopic handler is the right one?

Which work platform is best for your project depends on the intended use and location. What working height do you need to reach? Does the machine have to overcome horizontal obstacles? What load capacity should the platform and jib have? And how big can it be to ensure accessibility to the construction site? Once you have clarified these questions, you will find the necessary technical data for each hire machine. We will be happy to advise you on the phone or, if the local conditions are difficult, we will come directly to your construction site for a personal assessment.

Not sure which work platform is right for your requirements? No problem! Simply upload up to four photos of your construction site in our photo device finder and we will find the right device for you!
